Annaliese Forgiarini

Annaliese grew up and did her young skating in Victoria, and comes to the rink with the philosophy that coaching skating is about ยจ Developing skill, sportsmanship and the value of team-working without sacrificing fun; Developing skaters so that they have great skills and attitudes, and are great human beings." She shares the love of the sport with skaters, parents and other coaches.

As a skater herself, Annaliese achieved Gold Test levels in Freeskate, Figures, Dance and Interpretive skating. She competed at, and holds Test levels at, Pre-Novice, Novice and Junior Competitive Singles. She was trained and coached by Marilyn Barlow, Frank Nowasad, Gayle Wallach, Patrick O'Brien, Ron Vincent, Sonya Dunfield, and Greg Folk.

A major highlight of her life was her involvement as an ensemble skater and line captain for Disney on Ice, travelling through North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. It still brings her great joy to see former JDF skaters experiencing the "show life" with Disney on Ice.

Another highlight of her life thus far has been the birth of her young son . She loves being a mom and he makes her laugh every day!

She is Level II certified (NCCP/ISPC), and holds her Level III Theory, and has coached for over 14 years, coaching all levels of skaters (CanSkate, STARSkate, Competitive) in Freeskate, Skills, Dance, Choreography (Interpretive, Competitive solos and test solos). She is a BCRPA approved Off-Ice trainer with Fitness Theory/Physiology, and the Strength Training Module. Annaliese also holds ISU Judging System Coach Training Certification, has taken various update seminars since 2006, and prides herself in staying current.
